As our thoughts turn to next years running events, I thought I would highlight the Edinburgh Marathon Festival as one for your list. I know several of you have done this one before and all speak very highly of it. Take a look. https://www.edinburghmarathon.com/events/marathon/

Tuesday was a club session – Paarlauf session at Gosforth. Thursday’s club session was 20 out, 18 back. However earlier in the day, there had been the Great Run Local Quayside. I understand it takes place at 12.45pm outside the Pitcher and Piano. Although I am registered, I can’t see results as I didn’t actually run – so if you want shouts outs, you will have to let me know Continue Reading →

So I am guessing that Monday was a recovery run day for a lot of people. Tuesday was club training – probably our last evening session at Rising Sun as the nights are getting darker sooner. Bank Holiday Monday – what a lovely day for a run. A group of us met at Rising Sun for a 5 mile social run, with a few also gathering afterwards for a coffee. Running, conversation and coffee are a perfect match. Can not believe that was over a week ago. Over at Gateshead Stadium there was the Tartan Games taking place. Representing the club was James Meader, Calum Mills, Continue Reading →

Throughout the series there has been some amazing individual and team performances with many achieving PB’s, records were broken and ultimately Heaton Harrier’s women finished 3rd in their league and the men finished 5th.
