Heaton's women won the North Eastern Harrier League cross country title for the 2007/8 season, clinching victory by a narrow margin in the final fixture at Prudhoe, and they have successfully defended it in each of the next two seasons. The next defence of the title takes place over the winter 2010/11 season.
A concerted effort by our male veterans (over 35s) saw Heaton win the Men's title in the VAA-NEE track and field league in 2008. We then successfully defended the title in 2009. The league consists of 5 meetings at Jarrow, and we will be trying to defend our title again across the Summer of 2010.
The team of Les Smith, Ian Robinson and Mark Likeman won the men's team prize at the 2009 Norham Road Race. The trophy will next be contested in October 2010.
