Club Fell Championships 2016 and races for 2017

This year saw 28 club members competing in the fell champs.  Les Bellis and Sharon Cook were the champions for 2016. Saltwell Harriers fell race, Heaton hills Series race three.

This is a classic race which has been going 21 years, a tough midweeker with a thousand feet of climb in 6 miles. It has some rough moorland terrain and some upland grassy meadow and some gnarly riverside traversing. Fell Update: Chevy Chase FR

This weekend saw the 60th running of the Chevy chase fell race. It was well supported by the myrtle bog trotters with 16 harriers taking part . Conditions were decidedly better than last year, with a warm and breezy day for the race. David Brigham completes Bob Graham Round

David Brigham completes the Bob Graham round this weekend, after starting on friday night, he traversed 42 peaks in the English Lake district in under 24 hours (23.30). I am sure he will kind enough to write a piece for the website once he recovers.
