Thirsk 10

Yesterday was the running of the 2015 Thirsk 10 Mile Road Race with a good crowd from Heaton present at the race. Helped by the race being on the Winter Grand Prix Series. The course is flat and fast (wind depending). Starts and finishes at Thirsk racecourse. Brass Monkey Half Marathon 2015

Today was the 33rd running of the Brass Monkey Half Marathon run by Knavesmere Harriers. It was icy conditions from miles 5 to 7. Other than that, it was really good racing conditions. Heaton Harriers Memorial 10k Results

Thank you all for a great turnout on what was a lovely morning for racing. The results are now available here  First male home and winner was Tadele Geremew of Elswick Harriers in 30:56 with a very healthy lead to Kevin Jeffress of Sunderland Harriers at 32:30 followed by Sparrow Morley of Tyne Bridge Harriers at 32:43. Newburn River Run 2014

On Wednesday night, the annual Newburn run was held, in what can only be described as a hot racing conditions. This said, there was a good Heaton turnout that toed the start line. Blaydon Races 2014

On the 9th June, the mighty Heaton took to the Blaydon Races will typical gusto. 72 runners from the club took part which is an awesome turn out from the club.  First home in an unreal time of 31:13, was Lucas Longman with Andrew Hebden next home in 32:25.  In total, 8 men finished quicker than 35 minutes.
