The club:
Heaton Harriers meets at the Blue Flames Club on Whitley Road, Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 9SF. It is one of the oldest running clubs in the North East. Formed in 1890, we have an illustrious past and a sound foundation for the future. We are a fairly large and very friendly club, and cater for members of all levels of fitness, ability and ambition. We welcome those looking to compete at a high level and those looking for fun and companionship in their bid for getting, and staying, fit.

8th July 2008 11.27: T&F results show Heaton currently 2nd in Div 3E going into the final fixture at Hexham.

Our races:
Heaton organises several open races each year. Results from previous years can be found in our archives.
Jesmond Dene Handicap Races: A series of four races held each summer. The final race for the 2008 series is on July 28th.[Details, entry form and results from first three races.]
Anita Nott Women Only Jesmond Dene Run: Provisional Results are now online.
Memorial Road Races: A selection of road races, currently held on the Town Moor, usually on Remembrance Sunday. Helen Lawrence of Wirral AC beat the women's course record in 2007 by one second to earn a £100 bonus.
New members and Beginners:
In response to the very welcome rise in numbers on club nights, and in order to cater for everyone in the best way possible, we have introduced a beginners' group on Tuesday nights. For further details see the training diary, or you may prefer to read the introduction page.
