Training nights:
The list below shows the proposed main sessions for forthcoming club nights. For most club nights, we meet at Whitley Park from 6:45pm for training to start at 7pm. The main exception to this is the Club Handicap.
For Tuesday nights, most of the sessions are done in groups based on 10km times:
Group 1: sub 37' Group 2: 37'-41' Group 3: 41'-42' Group 4: 42'-44' Group 5: 44'-47' Group 6: 47'-50' Group 7: 50'-55' Group 8: 55'+
Having originally been targeted at the faster groups, the Thursday night sessions now cater for all groups. Currently the turnout on Thursdays is still generally lower than a Tuesday, but as numbers grow the group format is starting to develop.
In order to fit in comfortably with the main sessions, and to get maximum benefit from them, we recommend as a minimum you should be able to run/jog for at least 45 minutes. This should enable you to come along on any Tuesday or Thursday and join in. For runners who are not yet able to manage that, we have organised beginners' sessions from time to time subject to demand. These are aimed at helping runners build up to a level where they are able to join one of the main groups. Although there are no members currently requiring this, we will make sure that the first Tuesday training night of each month is suitable for beginners to join in and see how they get on.

- Tuesday 21st - Amstrong Bridge Sprints(28 mins, 1 min recovery)
- Thursday 23rd - 40 min steady, 20 min tempo
- Tuesday 28th - Killingworth Pursuit
- Thursday 30th - Balliol Business Park (3 x 3 lap + final lap fast)
