Heaton were out in force and continuing success on track on Monday night (3rd July), at both the BMC at Chester -le-street, and at Monkton in the North East Masters Athletics league. Congratulations to Holly Matheson, for achieving a huge 6 second pb in 1500m at the BMC comp last night with a fantastic time of 4.56.93. Well done Holly!

Further up the age scale saw a great turnout in numbers and points at the latest T&F meeting at Monkton last night. Both the Women and Men teams topped their tables on the evening and continue to be a course for the League double. Men’s total of 183 points on the night was the highest recorded for any team this season. In addition a HH is top of the individual points table in 10 age categories. lots of brilliant peformances, and another league record broken by Suzan Dudink in shot, with a winning v40 at 9:02m. Two more fixtures to go – July 17th & 31st. It’s great fun too. Be there!
