Heaton finished the season in 2nd place in the women's league. The men bounced back from a disappointing start to the season to reach joint third in Division 2. The was individual success for Jo Zoppi and James Buis, who both finished in the top three of their respective categories in the overall series.

With many absentees in the men's team, Heaton were 10th out of the 11 teams. At least we fielded a full team, and a better turn-out is expected at Farringdon.

A great 1st place for James Buis moves him up into the medium pack for the next race, while John Moore completed the course in exactly the same time as James. There was an impressive run from Sam Daley on his return to the club as he was our second counter. Clare Hamson's 4th position takes her into the fast pack, and a valuable debut from Sandra King ensured a complete team to keep the women's campaign going.

Prudhoe - March 17th 2007

Another successful season concluded with Heaton's women finishing 2nd in the league to Elvet, while the men ended up joint 3rd in Division 2 with Saltwell. The 10th place finish at Consett early in the season ultimately being too much to overcome in our challenge for promotion. Fourth place for Julia Critchley in the women's race means she moves into the fast pack for next season. Two of Heaton's members made it into the top three in the individual series results. Jo Zoppi finished second to Elswick's Judith Nutt in the senior women's category, while James Buis took 3rd place in the senior men's event.
