Heaton got off to a great start in the Harrier League at Blaydon. The women were second to Chester-le-Street. The men were 2nd in Division 1, pipped by Wallsend by just one point. Lee and Les are both promoted to the medium pack. Anna and Clare are promoted to the fast pack.

A disappointing day for our teams with our worst positions of the season so far. However, with no Chester-le-Street team in the women's race, Heaton now lie 2nd to Tynedale overall by just one point. We were led by James Buis, who ran the fastest time of the day in making his way through to 4th place from the fast pack. Andy Roberts is promoted into the medium pack. Heaton's pipped Chester-le-Street by just one point to win on the day, and with Chester pushing Tynedale into 3rd, Heaton retained the league title. The men finished ahead of Wallsend on the day, but only by a single position, so Wallsend won the Division 1 title. Scott McEntee moves up into the medium pack for next season, and Les Smith into the fast pack. Sarah Lemon is also promoted to the fast pack.
