Dear Club Members
In line with the latest Covid19 regulations for England, we will be suspending Club Training Activities and Events from Thursday Nov 5th. Although there is still some media speculation with regard to the exact rules for amateur sports clubs, it does look as if there will be a ban on group activities. If it changes, we will react accordingly. However, in the meantime, we feel it is best to provide our current plan.
The Monthly Mile due for Monday 2nd November is CANCELLED.
The Club Session on Tuesday 3rd November WILL TAKE PLACE as planned.
The Rington’s Cup Race scheduled for Saturday November 14th is POSTPONED. We will look for a new date when we are again able to run Club events.
As it stands, Tuesday’s club session will be the last chance to get together until, hopefully, Thursday December 3rd. As it is a paced 5km TT it will provide you with a pre-lockdown base to measure yourself against on our return!
For those attending, please ensure that you do follow the face covering and social distance guidelines both before and after the running. It is an area where we can improve – and it doesn’t require fitness!
Although it will be the last club session as a group, over the next few weeks Bill Brown’s Weekly Virtual 5km TT will continue. Please participate to challenge yourself. Also, do use the Club Training Schedule as a guide to sessions to run even on your own. We know that the club/group element adds to your effort and enjoyment. It will be tough on your own but the Training Schedule can continue to provide a series of different types of sessions.
Stay Safe & Keep Running!
