Just two Heaton competitors. Reg Checkley ran 6:24.7 in the 1500 metres and scored 6 points. John Moore ran 13.3 (100m), 4:21.7 (1500m) and 56.2 (400m), scoring 16 points.
Match 2 results - June 11th
Reg Checkley scored 12 points, running 3:04.7 in the 800 metres and 13:40.4 in the 3000 metres. Eric Appleby ran 13:43.0 in the 3000m, scoring 5 points.
Match 3 results - June 23rd
Eric Appleby ran 6:32.4 in the 1500m. Reg Checkley ran 6:47.4 in that event, and ran 83.8 in the 400m. Reg scored 11 points and Eric scored 6.
Match 4 results - July 16th
Reg Checkley ran 3:01.1 in the 800m and 13:45 in the 3000m, scoring 12 points. Eric Appleby scored 5 points in the 3000m, with a time of 13:47. George Routledge scored 10 points by virtue of his throws in the hammer (15.45m) and javelin (17.80m).
Match 5 results - August 1st
Reg Checkley ran 800 metres in 3:13.7 (6 points), with Eric Appleby clocking 3:21.6 (5 pts) in the same event. Reg also ran 13:53 (6 pts) in the 3000m. Allen Mulliss ran 21:37.7 (5 pts) in the 5000m. George Routledge competed in the M60 Hammer (16.23m) and Shot (7.22m), and scored 5 points.
