The weekend will see another return to NEHL, Wrekington it is, with the potential for a cold one like last year. The course is here and the parking is at Cardinal Hume School Here. Hopefully as many Heaton members can get out and run, The men need you particularly to ensure stability in Div One. Contact the sec if you fancy running, he will pass it on to the club captains. No U11 races, all others as standard.

The club recently travelled to the Northern XC championships at Knowsley Park , just beside Liverpool. We had one junior U13 boy, Thomas Green, who battled his way round an exceedingly tough course. His elder brother was recovering from a chest infection and did not run but did travel to support the club and his brother.

Jenny Friend was our sole Female runner, and she ran an epic race in foul conditions. We were all proud to cheer her on, probably far too loudly. Lorna recovering from injury travelled down and supported round the course, helping Thomas with his warm up as did Magnus.

The lads had a full team, including the chairman, but the conditions had deteriorated into a horrible snow/mud porridge. It even caused the St Johns landrover to get stuck!

teAMThe video of the mens race is here and we finished 35th team, which is more than many of our local teams managed. Full results here
