Club training is cancelled, in response to the government’s recommendation that all non-essential contact with others should be avoided.
We can expect that parkruns and upcoming races will now be cancelled, as it is recommended that mass gatherings do not go ahead and will not receive support from emergency services.
I know how frustrating this is, particularly for people who have trained hard all winter for spring marathons. You can still train alone, and there will be plenty of races to aim for once this passes. Please take the recommendations seriously.

Update – 17/03/2020 – England Athletics have advised that face-to-face club activities should be suspended until the end of April.
